Muck away on a garden job
Spoil from footings or a pond out to the skip, across a lawn you would rather not have to relay afterwards.
Micro DiggerGoes through a standard side gate when nothing else will.More info about the Micro DiggerCrosses the lawn without writing it off.

A high tip dumper on rubber tracks. It carries half a tonne, tips high enough to go straight over the side of a skip or into a trailer, and it gets across ground that would stop a wheeled machine dead.
The tracks are the whole point. Weight spread over a track instead of four wheels means soft ground, wet grass and a fresh lawn survive the trip, which matters enormously on a garden job where the route runs across something the customer likes.
It needs 690mm at the narrowest point, which is the same as the micro digger. That is the useful part: if the digger got down there, so does the dumper, and you are not left barrowing out of a hole you could drive out of.
Measure the pinch rather than the gate. On an older entry the tight bit is usually a gatepost, a drain or a buttress partway along, not the opening you can see from the street.
210mm to spare through a standard timber side gate.
Measure the tightest point of the whole route in, not just the gate. The tracked dumper is one of the machines it fits past.
Ring the yard if a figure matters to your job and we will check it against the machine before you travel.
Six of the jobs the tracked dumper goes out on most. Keep scrolling and they stack.
Spoil from footings or a pond out to the skip, across a lawn you would rather not have to relay afterwards.
A tonne of type 1 off the drive and round to the back in two runs, rather than forty barrow loads through the house side.
Lifted turf is heavy and there is a lot of it. This is what gets it off the lawn without churning up what is left.
Brash, logs and stump grindings out to a pile or a trailer, over ground that has usually had a chipper parked on it all day.
Anywhere the only route in is a shared entry. At 690mm it goes where a wheeled dumper simply does not.
When it has rained all week and a wheeled machine would be digging itself in rather than moving muck.
Tell us the job and the dates. We will say whether it is in, when it is back if it is out, and whether it is the right machine for what you are doing.
Pick it up from the yard on Brick Kiln Lane in Etruria, or we will deliver it to site. If you ring early enough and it is free, it can often go out the same day.
We off hire it from the day you ring rather than the day it happens to come back, and collect it from site if we delivered it.

It spreads the load far better than wheels, but repeated runs over the same line on soft ground will still mark. Vary the route if the lawn is staying.
Half a tonne loaded high and to one side on a slope is how a dumper goes over. Keep the load flat and the heavy end downhill of you, not above you.
Raising a full skip on a cross slope moves the centre of gravity somewhere you do not want it. Square up, then tip.
Drain covers, soft edges, inspection chambers and newly laid flags. Tracks are wide and they find the weak spot.
A digger with nowhere to put the spoil fills the hole back in twice. If you are digging anything more than a footing, get both.
It comes fuelled and tested. Keep an eye on the level across a long day and ask at the yard what they want doing about fuel on the way back.
Fantastic experience with Elite Plant Hire! I hired a mini digger and a tracked dumper, and both were top-quality, modern, and reliable machines…

Used Elite for the first time after using other companies before, wow what a breath of fresh air, prompt replies to messages, Cameron dropped the micro digger off and what a credit to the company he is…

The yard is on Brick Kiln Lane in Etruria, a couple of minutes off the A500, so most of Stoke-on-Trent and Newcastle-under-Lyme is a short run either way. Collect it yourself if you have something that can carry or tow it, or we will deliver it to site and collect it when you are finished.
Far less than a wheeled one, because the weight is spread over the tracks. On soft ground repeated runs down the same line will still mark it, so vary the route and avoid turning on the spot where you can.
Around 500kg, which is roughly a third of a tonne of wet clay with a bit in hand, or the better part of a bulk bag of hardcore. Load it level rather than heaped.
It needs 690mm, the same as the micro digger, so a standard 900mm gate is fine. Measure the narrowest point of the route rather than the gate itself, because that is usually not the same thing.
Tracked if the route crosses grass, soft ground or anything you have to make good afterwards, or if access is under a metre. Wheeled if the route is all hard standing and you want to shift more, faster.
Ring the yard and you get a straight answer on whether the tracked dumper is available, when it is back if it is out on hire, and whether it is the right thing for what you are doing. If it is not, we will say so.
