Thick concrete and old foundations
Where the electric breaker would be a long, demoralising day and this is an afternoon.
Micro DiggerGoes through a standard side gate when nothing else will.More info about the Micro DiggerHits harder than the electric one, and needs no supply at all.

A hand-held breaker driven by its own petrol hydraulic power pack. The pack sits away from you on its hoses, and between them they hit considerably harder than the hand breakers. We have them in more than one size, so what you get depends on what you are breaking.
The reason to take this one is usually thickness or remoteness. Thicker concrete, reinforced slabs, old foundations, or a job with no power anywhere near it. You are not tied to a supply, which out on a plot or in a field is the difference between working and not.
The tool goes anywhere a person does. The power pack is the part to plan for: it needs somewhere open to stand, and the hoses give you a working radius from wherever that is. Sizes vary, so ring with your access and we will tell you what gets through.
The reach is less than it sounds once you are round a corner or down a step, so think about where the pack sits before you start rather than moving it every twenty minutes.
Carried in by hand, so access is not the question it is with the plant.
It still has to get to site: collect it from the yard in Etruria, or we will run it out with the rest of your hire.
Ring the yard if a figure matters to your job and we will check it against the machine before you travel.

Where the electric breaker would be a long, demoralising day and this is an afternoon.
Old garage and outbuilding bases with mesh or bar in them, which need more energy per blow than a light breaker delivers.
It brings its own. Nothing to plug in, no transformer, no generator to hire alongside it.
Old cattle standing, silage bases and yard slabs, which tend to be thicker than anything domestic.
Score the line with the Stihl saw, then take out everything inside it with this.
Heavy breaking down a passage or inside a building, where the mobile breaker will not fit and hand tools are not enough.
Tell us the job and the dates. We will say whether it is in, when it is back if it is out, and whether it is the right machine for what you are doing.
Pick it up from the yard on Brick Kiln Lane in Etruria, or we will deliver it to site. If you ring early enough and it is free, it can often go out the same day.
We off hire it from the day you ring rather than the day it happens to come back, and collect it from site if we delivered it.

It is a petrol engine. Never inside a garage, a building or anywhere enclosed, and not right next to an open doorway either.
Seven metres of hydraulic hose across a site is a trip hazard and it does not like being driven over or kinked. Route it deliberately rather than letting it lie where it falls.
Same as any breaker. Guide it, keep it moving, work inwards from a free edge. Leaning on it just tires you out.
It hits harder, which you feel. Share the work if there are two of you and break the day up rather than running it for six hours straight.
More energy means less warning when you hit something that should not be there. Services under old concrete are rarely where anyone says they are.
If it is a path, a domestic slab or an ordinary drive, the electric breaker is lighter and easier. Take this one for thickness, reinforcement or no power on site.
Used Elite for the first time after using other companies before, wow what a breath of fresh air, prompt replies to messages, Cameron dropped the micro digger off and what a credit to the company he is…

Fantastic experience with Elite Plant Hire! I hired a mini digger and a tracked dumper, and both were top-quality, modern, and reliable machines…

The yard is on Brick Kiln Lane in Etruria, a couple of minutes off the A500, so most of Stoke-on-Trent and Newcastle-under-Lyme is a short run either way. Collect it yourself if you have something that can carry or tow it, or we will deliver it to site and collect it when you are finished.
A hand breaker for paths, domestic slabs and ordinary drives. Hydraulic for thicker concrete and reinforced slabs, because it hits harder and brings its own power. We have the hydraulic ones in several sizes, so tell us what you are breaking.
No. The power pack is a petrol engine, so the whole thing is self contained. That is one of the main reasons people choose it.
The hoses give you a working radius from wherever the pack stands, and it varies with the size of breaker. Ring and ask for the one you are taking, then plan where the pack goes so it reaches the whole area.
One person can run it, but it is heavy work and the vibration adds up. If there are two of you, swap regularly. It is faster and you both finish the day able to use your hands.
Ring the yard and you get a straight answer on whether the hydraulic breaker is available, when it is back if it is out on hire, and whether it is the right thing for what you are doing. If it is not, we will say so.
