Flooded trenches
Drainage runs and service trenches that fill overnight, which on clay is most of them after rain.
Micro DiggerGoes through a standard side gate when nothing else will.More info about the Micro DiggerA trench filling faster than you can dig it is not one you can bail out.

A pump that clears a flooded trench, footing or excavation so the job can carry on. Six hundred litres a minute, which is a great deal more than a person with a bucket and a bad attitude.
Around here it earns its keep more often than people expect. Ground near the canal and the old marl holes holds water well below the surface, and the clay across the Cheshire Plain holds whatever falls on it, so a trench that was dry on Friday is frequently not on Monday.
Hand carried, so nothing about gate widths applies. It goes wherever you can walk.
What needs thinking about is the hoses and the route. Suction hose into the water, delivery hose to wherever the water is going, and both of them somewhere nobody is going to trip over them all day.
Carried in by hand, so access is not the question it is with the plant.
It still has to get to site: collect it from the yard in Etruria, or we will run it out with the rest of your hire.
Ring the yard if a figure matters to your job and we will check it against the machine before you travel.

Concrete into standing water is a problem you pay for later. Clear it first.
Emptying a pond to reline, repair or remove it.
Clearing standing water out of a basement or an underfloor void after a leak or a wet spell.
Running it intermittently through the day to hold the water level down while you work.
Getting standing water away from where it is doing damage while the repair gets sorted.
Tell us the job and the dates. We will say whether it is in, when it is back if it is out, and whether it is the right machine for what you are doing.
Pick it up from the yard on Brick Kiln Lane in Etruria, or we will deliver it to site. If you ring early enough and it is free, it can often go out the same day.
We off hire it from the day you ring rather than the day it happens to come back, and collect it from site if we delivered it.

Not onto the neighbour is garden, not into a foul drain, and not somewhere it runs straight back into the hole. Silty water into a watercourse can be an offence, so think about it before you start rather than after somebody complains.
Sitting the strainer in the silt blocks it in minutes. Stand it on a board or a brick so it draws water rather than sludge.
A centrifugal pump needs water in the casing to pull. Running it dry, even briefly, damages the seal.
Outdoors only, and not in a cellar, a void or anywhere enclosed. If the water is inside, the pump stays outside and the hose goes in.
Stones, rag and debris jam an impeller. Keep the strainer on, and if the water is full of solids tell us when you ring.
A pump holds the level down while you work. If the ground keeps filling, the answer is usually drainage or sequencing the job differently, and we are happy to talk that through.
Used Elite for the first time after using other companies before, wow what a breath of fresh air, prompt replies to messages, Cameron dropped the micro digger off and what a credit to the company he is…

Fantastic experience with Elite Plant Hire! I hired a mini digger and a tracked dumper, and both were top-quality, modern, and reliable machines…

The yard is on Brick Kiln Lane in Etruria, a couple of minutes off the A500, so most of Stoke-on-Trent and Newcastle-under-Lyme is a short run either way. Collect it yourself if you have something that can carry or tow it, or we will deliver it to site and collect it when you are finished.
Enough to clear an ordinary flooded trench quickly. It goes out with five metres of hose, so tell us how far the water has to travel when you ring and we will sort the rest.
Somewhere it will not run back, will not flood a neighbour and is not a foul drain. Silty water into a watercourse can land you in trouble, so it is worth a minute of thought first.
The hose goes in, the pump stays outside. It is a petrol engine, so it never runs in an enclosed space, and that includes a cellar with the door open.
It will handle ordinary site water with the strainer on. Heavy solids, rag and stone are a different question, so tell us what is actually in it when you book.
Ring the yard and you get a straight answer on whether the water pump is available, when it is back if it is out on hire, and whether it is the right thing for what you are doing. If it is not, we will say so.
