Used Elite for the first time after using other companies before, wow what a breath of fresh air, prompt replies to messages, Cameron dropped the micro digger off and what a credit to the company he is…

Tool & plant hireStoke-on-TrentReady today.
Micro diggers to breakers, dumpers to generators, hired across Stoke-on-Trent and Newcastle-under-Lyme. All of it on the ground at our Etruria yard, serviced and tested between every hire.
Digger, dumper and tool hire in Stoke-on-Trent
24 machines in the yard
Nothing matched
Not one we can find
Ring the yard and tell us the job. If we have not got it, we will usually know who has.
Tool and plant hire,
by the job
Most people ring up asking for a machine. It is usually quicker the other way round. Tell us the job and we will tell you what shifts it, which is often not what you were about to book.
01Lifting a patio or path3 machines
Past a few square metres a breaker and a barrow stops being the quick option. Break it out, dig it off and cart it away in one hit.
02Digging footings2 machines
Extensions, garden rooms and garage bases. Which digger depends entirely on what you can get down the side of the house, not on the hole.
03Laying a drive3 machines
Dig out, get the sub-base in, compact it properly. Most drives that sink were compacted in one pass instead of several.
04A drainage run3 machines
Soil pipes, land drains and soakaways. Narrow tracks mean a narrower trench and less making good afterwards. Plate over it if anyone needs to cross while it is open.
05Clearing a garden2 machines
Roots, rubble, old borders and whatever the last owner buried. Pair the digger with something tracked if the ground is soft.
06Cutting block or concrete3 machines
07Taking a tree down3 machines
Fell it, chip the brash on the spot so it leaves in bags rather than a skip, then take the stump out below ground so you can plant or build over it.
08Putting in a new lawn2 machines
The old turf has to come off before anything else happens. It lifts in strips, which is a morning rather than a weekend on your knees.
09Working at height2 machines
Gutters, fascias, ceilings and first-floor work. A platform with guard rails beats a ladder for anything longer than a few minutes, and a material lift holds the board up so you do not have to.
10Demolition and heavy breaking2 machines
Thick concrete, bases and structures. Remote tracked breaking keeps the operator clear of it, and a hand-held hydraulic hits harder than the electric breaker where there is no supply.
11A plot with no power3 machines
New builds, plots and anywhere the supply is not on yet. One generator runs the 110V site kit and the 240V tools off the same machine.
12Getting it all on site3 machines
Pallets off the wagon and across ground nothing like a warehouse floor, or collect the machine yourself rather than wait on a delivery slot. Check your licence covers the combined weight before you plan to tow.

Most of our work comes from people passing our number on. If you’re happy with our service, we’d really appreciate it if you left a review for us on Google.
Fantastic experience with Elite Plant Hire! I hired a mini digger and a tracked dumper, and both were top-quality, modern, and reliable machines…
Hired a large car transporter trailer from the guys at Elite and I cannot fault the service. The driver rang on the morning of delivery with updates and kept me informed…
Excellent service from Elite Tool & Plant Hire. Came across them by accident when trying to find someone available on a Saturday morning and really glad I found them…
Great communication, machine arrived in time and wasn't to much to ask when needed for extra day, machinery was easy to use…

Ring the yard
You get the people who load the machines and know what is available today, not a switchboard reading off a screen.
How does tool hire
work?
Tell us the job
Not the machine, the job. Lifting a patio, digging footings, cutting a doorway through block. We hire this kit out every day and we know what actually shifts it, which is usually not the machine people ask for.
We check it’s available
Ring the yard and you get a straight yes or no there and then, plus the day it is due back if it is already out on hire. Send the form instead and we will come back to you the same day.
Access and towing, checked
We work out whether it fits through your gate and whether your licence and vehicle can legally tow it. Both get sorted before you book rather than on the morning it turns up.
Collect or delivered
Pick it up from Brick Kiln Lane on your way to site, or we will run it out to you. Tell us the postcode when you book and we will confirm the delivery.

If it leaves the yard,
it works
Nothing wastes a day on site like kit that will not start. Every machine is serviced, fuelled and tested before it goes back out, so what you pick up is ready to work the minute it lands on the job.
No. There is no account to open, no credit check and no minimum spend. A homeowner doing a driveway hires on exactly the same terms as a groundworker who is in every week.
Either. Collect from the yard on Brick Kiln Lane in Etruria any time we are open, or we will run it out to site across Stoke-on-Trent, Newcastle-under-Lyme and the surrounding towns. Tell us the postcode and we will confirm.
Both. Plenty of what leaves the yard goes to people doing their own garden, drive or patio. Tell us what the job is and we will tell you what you actually need, which is often a smaller machine than people expect.
Usually. Ring ahead so we can check it’s available, then collect from Brick Kiln Lane in Etruria. If it needs delivering to site we will tell you the soonest we can get it out to you.
Measure the narrowest point on the way in, usually a side gate or an alley, and use the access checker above. A standard timber side gate is about 900mm and our smallest micro digger goes through 700mm. If you are close to the limit, ring us before you book.
A day, a weekend, a week or longer. Tell us roughly how long the job will take and we will work out what suits. If it overruns, ring us rather than worrying about it.
Ring the yard. Everything is serviced and tested between hires so it should not happen, but if it does we would rather get you going again than argue about it.
One yard,
the length of the A500
Based on Brick Kiln Lane in Etruria, a couple of minutes from the A500. Collection any time we are open, or delivered to site across the area.
Tell us the job.
We will tell you
the machine.
Fill this in and we will check what is available and ring you back with a price. If you would rather just talk to someone, that is usually faster.
